Highlights: more kelp beds and continued fog, but a relatively short run to gain access to Wrangell's docks so Glen can help Pam & Ollie on Beyond to replace the impeller and determine if any other actions (i.e., slinging or gridding the boat to examine the bottom) would be necessary.

Kayakers! We expected to see more kayakers - after all it was two kayakers who helped inspire Peggy and Mark to take on this adventure - but like pleasure boats, they may just be hidden among the multitude of channels and waterways comprising the Inside Passage...

Coincidentally, just a few days after Seaquel's malfunction with the Webasto Diesel Heater, both Journey and Beyond experience the identical issue. Looks like bad fuel is the culprit. But with unseasonably warm temperatures and now heading south and leaving icebergs and glaciers behind us, we do not feel any urgency to address this hiccup. It can wait for when we are back...
Beyond turns into the marina at Wrangell with no further temperature issues. We arrive sufficiently early to allow time to tear apart the front end of the Volvo D3 to gain access to the impeller. Glen will get to work helping Pam & Ollie immediately...
Boat watching is a favorite activity anytime we are in marinas. Love this native-inspired design...
And just across from our slip, a tad more gaudy, lacking the same "local" inspiration, but beautiful in its own more splashy way...
With Beyond's impeller repair complete, and not appearing to require further attention, we are ready to get back on course toward Ketchikan for refueling and then onto Misty Fjord, one of the last big highlights we hope to see before leaving SE Alaska for British Columbia...
